Pastel colours have enough white mixed into them to take away the saturation and turn them into a pale verion of colours. Using pastels often results in more elegancy and delicacy, especially if taken in soft diffused light.  The submissions were very varied going from flowers, to landscapes and even portraits.

Photographing close-ups or macros of insects can be fun if using the right settings. Insects aren't so good at following directions, so an insect photographer has to be patient, wait, watch and be ready for the moment a good opportunity presents itself, to nail it.  Send in your best ...
